Salary: N300,000 - 450,000 Monthly Gross
The Risk & Compliance Executive will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying and mitigating operational and legal risks, and strengthening governance across the company’s operations. This role is critical to maintaining data integrity, regulatory adherence, ethical standards, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable local and international regulations, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and relevant U.S. regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, document, and monitor operational, regulatory, reputational, and compliance risks across all business lines.
- Develop, maintain, and update risk registers, compliance frameworks, policies, and SOPs.
- Ensure accuracy, defensibility, and compliance in processes.
- Lead or support incident response and remediation, including investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting where required.
- Promote an ethical culture, advising leadership on compliance obligations and managing requests that may expose the business to regulatory or reputational risk.
- Track and ensure timely renewal of licenses, permits, business registrations, insurance policies, and statutory filings.
- Conduct periodic internal audits and compliance reviews, identifying gaps and recommending process improvements.
- Prepare management and executive reports on compliance status, key risks, incidents, and remediation progress.
- Support client audits, regulatory inspections, and third-party due diligence processes.
- Oversee accounts management for outsourced staff and client engagements, ensuring contractual, compliance, and service-level obligations are consistently met.
- Serve as a point of coordination between clients, outsourced staff, and internal teams.
- Monitor adherence to client contracts, MSAs, onboarding requirements, and regulatory obligations for outsourced personnel.
- Ensure proper onboarding, verification, documentation, and offboarding of outsourced staff in line with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, or governance, preferably within staffing, HR services, verification, fintech, or regulated environments.
- Strong working knowledge of NDPA and data protection principles.
- Experience managing cross-border compliance (Nigeria and/or U.S. preferred).
- Familiarity with risk assessment frameworks, audit processes, and compliance reporting.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- High ethical standards and sound professional judgment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
