The intern at the Accounts Payable department assists in multiple duties related to invoices, payments and/or bank/cash activities and provides other related accounting support.
This is a great opportunity for a student who wants to develop his/her analytical and problem-solving skills while working under pressure of meeting deadlines. You will be part of the team and have contact with external vendors. Some tasks can be repetitive, so you need a positive attitude towards routine or improving procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing of bank statements daily.
- Assist in the monitoring of the accounts to ensure the payments are up to date and actively manage unallocated payments against invoices.
- Assist in the reconciliation of account payable transactions.
- Contribute towards the monthly reports and assist with the monthly closing.
- Prepare batches of the Vendor invoices for payment proposals.
- Assist in processing, Cost and Oder invoices and ensure a proper filling of all hard-copy and digital data.
- Support the business in all invoices related queries and monitor the approval workflow of the vendor invoice.
- Assist with the reconciliation of the incoming statements of the vendors accounts (SOA) against the outstanding invoices in AX.
Qualifications
Your background:
- You are pursuing a n Associate Degree or HBO degree in Business Administration / Financial Accounting or related field; you have a basic understanding in accounting and financial processes such as accounts payable/receivable.
- Good command of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and basic financial reporting;
- Willingness and ability to learn new systems and procedures;
- You are eager to learn, practical, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves;
- Strong communication skills in English.

- Full/part-time job: The internship is for 32-40 hours a week.
