As a director, your primary responsibility would be to supervise and manage day-to-day activities of local buying needs for their assigned client under the direction of a Client or Group Director. The director acts as the liaison between buyers and vendors and the strategy teams. This role may also include overseeing the local investment staff of the assigned office for all managerial responsibilities. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic media buying buys for our clients' advertising campaigns. Your expertise in TV and radio media buying will contribute to the success of our clients' marketing initiatives and ensure their messages reach the right audience through these channels. You will work closely with media vendors, and internal teams to deliver impactful campaigns that meet and exceed expectations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee all local investment and maintenance for respective accounts.
Work closely with planning team to develop ideas and buying strategies to meet client needs.
Assess vendor proposals and provide POV’s.
Establish day-to-day workload, timelines, and procedures for buying staff.
Ensure that all account maintenance functions are performed accurately and on a timely basis.
Check buys for strategy and guideline compliance.
Issue buys to client and strategy teams.
Maintain accurate account of buys, budgets, revision, credits.
Performance Tracking of accounts while buys are on air.
Manage and monitor clearance of discrepancies and timely payments by the group on a timely basis.
Oversee final posts, rationale to client.
CPM development.
Team Leadership - Interview, train, review, and mentor staff.
Develop market conditions and advise supervisors of any relevant market changes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with TV and radio stations, leveraging these partnerships to negotiate favorable terms and secure added value for clients.
Keep abreast of recent technologies, audience measurement tools, and media buying software to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in TV and radio media buying.
Qualifications
Deep understanding of television and radio advertising landscape, including networks, stations, formats, and audience measurement tools.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing competitive rates and added value opportunities with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Be able to think beyond the buy specs and make recommendations to the planning staff as well as solutions to the buyers.
Detail Oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and people skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Bachelor's degree
Proven experience (15+ years in traditional media buying, specifically focused on TV and radio)
Proficient in media buying software/tools – preferably Media Ocean experience.
