The finance team is crucial for maintaining financial health and stability.
The role of the General Ledger Accountant involves maintain prepayments, accruals, payroll journals, reclassifications, performing PL review and BS reconciliation, following the processes in place, and applying the communicated controls, so that GL operational activities are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the local accounting ledger for Vietnam, with potential to expand over time to support general ledger activities for other locations in the region, including:
- Reviewing accounting entries and processing reclassifications as required, in accordance with local accounting requirements.
- Processing fixed assets, including additions, transfers, disposals, and running depreciation.
- Running foreign exchange revaluation in accordance with local requirements.
- Prepare local monthly balance sheet reconciliations with sub-ledgers and P/L fluctuation analyses
- Perform primary (Group) vs. local secondary TB reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of local statutory financial statements and supporting schedules, in accordance with local regulations and Group policies.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements (Endava group, SOX, internal and local statutory) and other statutory obligations as required.
- Process manual bank payment requests where required.
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts, monitor cash balances, and coordinate with the bank as required.
- Collaborate closely with the primary ledger (group) accounting team and other teams on accounting matters.
- Support process improvement/standardisation across APAC.
- Assist the Finance Manager as required.
- University Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4-5 years of experience working in a General Accountant position, with experience in Oracle preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software (Oracle is a plus), MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Trustworthy, honest, responsible, meticulous, ethical, and a quick learner.
- Demonstrate the ability to self-manage and work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team.
- Experience in a large or multinational working environment, IT industry, working with expats.
