Experian is looking for a Senior Data Scientist (AI focus) to join the Experian Software Solutions Global Analytics GenAI team. You will lead the development of advanced AI/ML systems and contribute to the evolution of Experian Ascend, our flagship innovation platform. You will design intelligent agents, deploying scalable AI solutions, and collaborating across teams to bring research into production. We are looking for strong technical expertise, hands-on development experience, and the ability to guide junior team members.
You will report into the Senior Director of Analytics and AI.
What you will do:
- Develop scalable and reusable GenAI components to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead the design and implementation of AI/ML models, with a focus on intelligent agents and autonomous systems.
- Contribute to the development of monitoring and oversight frameworks to ensure transparency, safety, and performance of AI systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and research teams to translate the latest research into impactful solutions.
- Lead efforts in developing automation into the Experian process, allowing Scientists and Engineers to focus their attention on thought-provoking innovative initiatives rather than redundant tasks.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior scientists and engineers, promoting a collaborative team culture.
- Stay current with advancements in AI/ML integrate latest technologies into Experian's solutions.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in computer science, AL/ML or related field
- 7+ years of experience in AI/ML, with hands-on expertise in building and deploying models at scale.
- Strong knowledge of modern language models (Transformers, GPT APIs, SLMs, RLHF) and agent-based architectures.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, AWS).
- Solid understanding of ML algorithms (e.g., XGBoost, GANs, clustering, graph algorithms, hyperparameter tuning)
- Experience transitioning AI models from research to production environments.
