Accountabilities
- Perform Prefunding QC loan audits on assigned loan population to ensure quality and risk standards.
- Conduct risk evaluations on mortgage loans.
- Complete complex analyses on various loan products.
- Evaluate underwriting decisions effectively.
- Communicate findings and potential resolutions to the appropriate departments.
- Document concerns or discrepancies for corrective action.
- Provide support and assistance to the department as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in mortgage underwriting.
- 5+ years' experience in underwriting mortgage loans.
- Knowledge of agency and investor guidelines.
- DE, LAPP, and SAR certifications preferred.
- Experience with Encompass LOS system is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
