The Marketing Lead will own the marketing function end-to-end, with full responsibility for both strategy and execution. This role is initially hands-on and execution-heavy, especially in the early months, and will evolve into a leadership role responsible for building and managing a small marketing team over time.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this position offers high autonomy in a low-structure, early-stage environment. The Head of Marketing will translate ICP and positioning into clear go-to-market initiatives, run rapid experiments, and scale the channels that show real traction. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, values ownership over polish, and can build clarity, momentum, and systems from scratch.
This role represents the company’s first marketing hire and exists to build the marketing function from zero, initially through hands-on execution, and over time through leadership, systems, and team growth.
Own the end-to-end marketing strategy while personally executing in the early stages to establish traction, standards, and momentum.
Translate ICP and positioning into clear go-to-market initiatives across content, community, and partnerships.
Prioritize channels, experiments, and initiatives based on impact and learning velocity.
Operate effectively in an environment with minimal structure and evolving priorities.
Own and manage primary social channels (X, LinkedIn) and secondary channels (Instagram, TikTok, Reddit).
Initially contribute hands-on to written and video content, including product updates, educational content, behind-the-scenes insights, and user stories.
Define content strategy, voice, and cadence, then scale execution through hires or contractors over time.
Track content performance and iterate weekly based on engagement, growth, and traction.
Design and run experiments with creators aligned with B2B SaaS, builder, startup, and no-code audiences.
Identify creators aligned with the company’s ICP and target audience.
Personally manage early outreach, partnership briefs, budgets, and coordination, then systematize and delegate as the function grows.
Build long-term relationships with creators, operators, and thought leaders.
Measure results and scale partnership motions that demonstrate impact.
Run structured marketing experiments across channels, formats, and audiences.
Set up lightweight tracking and reporting for engagement, clicks, signups, and early conversion signals.
Analyze results weekly and document learnings clearly.
Propose and launch new experiments based on insights and data.
Establish and maintain a genuine presence in relevant communities (Reddit, Slack groups, Discord servers).
Conduct light direct outreach to creators, engaged users, and community members.
Gather honest feedback on messaging, positioning, and product gaps.
Ensure community learnings are documented and shared with leadership.
Hire, onboard, and manage up to two additional marketing team members as the company scales.
Define roles, processes, and standards that allow marketing execution to scale sustainably.
Gradually transition from hands-on execution to leadership while maintaining accountability for results.
B2B SaaS marketing experience, ideally marketing software to business users.
Prior hands-on execution experience across marketing channels.
Strong familiarity with builder, no-code, or developer-adjacent audiences (e.g., Airtable, Zapier, Make).
Experience operating in early-stage or fast-moving startup environments.
Experience building or marketing no-code, internal, or developer-adjacent tools (nice to have).
Experience hiring or managing small marketing teams (nice to have).
Background in early-stage startups (nice to have).
Ability to own both strategy and execution independently before scaling a team.
Comfortable operating with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and minimal structure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong analytical instincts and comfort using data to guide decisions.
Ownership mindset, high integrity, proactive communication, and consistent follow-through.
Active and consistent social channels with early audience growth on primary platforms.
Two to three creator partnership experiments launched and tracked.
Clear understanding of which content formats and topics resonate with the audience.
Weekly learnings documented, outlining what to scale or pivot away from.
Genuine participation in two to three relevant communities.
Strong alignment with leadership on performance, learning, and next steps.
