The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will manage inbound and warm outbound sales conversations with homeowners who have expressed interest in fencing services. This role is focused on inside sales, lead qualification, and customer follow-up rather than aggressive cold calling.
The SDR will serve as the first point of contact for prospective customers, helping them understand service options, answering initial questions, and guiding qualified leads toward next steps. This position requires strong communication skills, organization, and comfort handling a steady volume of customer conversations in a residential home services environment.
Handle inbound and warm outbound calls, texts, and emails from homeowners inquiring about fencing services
Respond promptly to new leads and follow up consistently to maintain engagement
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, setting expectations and addressing initial questions
Qualify leads by understanding customer needs, property details, timelines, and readiness to move forward
Identify high-quality opportunities and move them through the sales pipeline efficiently
Support the sales process by preparing qualified leads for handoff or next steps
Accurately log all customer interactions, notes, and follow-ups in the CRM
Maintain an organized pipeline to ensure no leads fall through the cracks
Track lead status, outcomes, and follow-up tasks consistently
Follow existing sales scripts, workflows, and qualification criteria
Provide feedback on lead quality and common customer questions to support process improvement
Stay aligned with internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of the customer experience
2+ years of experience in sales development, inside sales, or customer-facing sales roles
Experience working with inbound leads or service-based businesses is a strong plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage a high volume of customer conversations while staying organized
Comfort using CRM systems to track leads and follow-ups
Customer-focused, consultative sales approach
Detail-oriented, reliable, and consistent with follow-through
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
Motivated by performance goals and continuous improvement
Consistently timely follow-up with new and existing leads
High-quality lead qualification that supports strong close rates
Clean, accurate CRM data and clear pipeline visibility
Positive feedback from customers and internal stakeholders regarding communication and professionalism
