POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Evaluation Sales Manager is responsible for both global and domestic field evaluation sales to expand SGS brand awareness within the field evaluation industry for the North American division of Connectivity
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Contributes to the development and execution of the overall sales strategy for Field Evaluations to establish a robust pipeline of revenue.
- Responsible for generating and closing leads and opportunities within a strategic business units (SBUs) for global and domestic accounts, in accordance with SGS sales strategies and individual targets.
- Builds and maintains an effective and professional relationships and close cooperation with key internal customers and support teams, including client services, global sales, technical and operations.
- Identifies and helps to drive key growth initiatives based on target markets and service offerings.
- Works with corporate marketing to drive awareness of SGS capabilities.
- Develops and executes sales presentations for clients, consistent with the sales and marketing strategies.
- Collaborates with the Operations Manager and Department Manager on a coordinated sales approach.
- Presents to clients regarding our delivery capabilities.
- Builds and maintains an effective and professional relationships and close cooperation with key internal customers and support teams, including client services, global sales, technical and operations.
- Performs key sales administrative functions: prepares call reports, pre- and post- tradeshow reports, sales reports, maintenance of all data in Customer Platform SharePoint site, and other reports/presentations as may be required by management.
- Acts as the lead person on preparing the written proposal in response to customer’s RFP, coordinates all information from the different disciplines and arranges the formal response.
- Leads periodic pipeline meetings to drive sales actions and alignment with strategy.
- Serves on and contributes to IAEI business communities.
- Contribute to SGS Field Evaluations global business strategies.
- Maintains knowledge of the SGS Group network and services.
- Actively promotes the image, capability and integrity of SGS to the account.
- At all times, adopts a safe behavior by exercising applicable health and safety rules and regulations of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies and procedures.
- At all times, complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
- Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's or equivalent (preferred)
- 10+ years of relevant experience in sales / account management within client service industry (Required)
- 5+ years of previous supervisory experience (Preferred)
- Experience in managing other sales resources (Required)
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Language Skills: English Basic level of knowledge required;
- other languages are a PLUS
- Mathematical Skills: Basic skill level preferred
- Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Intermediate level required\
- Computer Skills: MS Office Suite – Basic user proficiency preferred
- Ability to work in team environment and maintain professional behavior
- Strong client engagement skills
