As a Solution Engineer at Tacto, you'll sit at the intersection of data, product, and customer value - turning raw customer data into automated insights that drive millions in savings. You're the technical architect who makes our AI-powered platform work for each customer's unique reality: building data pipelines, configuring solutions, and proving ROI from day one. This role combines data engineering with direct customer interaction. You'll understand their supply chain challenges, integrate their procurement data, and guide them through implementation. Your work transforms our technology into business impact for Europe's industrial backbone, directly influencing customer success, product evolution, and our company’s growth trajectory.
Data Integration & Pipeline Ownership: Design, build, and maintain stable, scalable data pipelines that transform customer procurement data into high-quality insights within Tacto’s platform
Own technical implementation: Lead customer onboarding from kickoff to launch - you're the expert who makes it happen
Configure for impact: Customize Tacto for each customer's workflows, using procurement best practices and your technical judgment
Connect the dots: Bridge Customer Success, Product, and Engineering - you're the feedback loop that makes our product better
Build scrappy MVPs: Create workarounds and custom solutions when the product doesn't quite fit yet - the best ones become real features. It's part strategy, part duct tape, and always a learning opportunity
Scale what works: Build reusable components and playbooks that let us onboard faster without cutting corners
Be AI-native: Find ways AI can 10x your work, test new approaches, ship faster – then share what works with the team
Now you may wonder what experiences and skills you need for this role. We believe that problem-solving, creativity, and drive are more important than tools that can be picked up. However, the following references will give a guideline of what experiences we think might be helpful.
You enjoy getting to know customers, understanding their needs and achieving results together with an interdisciplinary team
You have experience in programming with SQL and python
You are comfortable importing, cleaning, validating, transforming, and exploring data from multiple sources
You have strong communication skills in both German and English
Ideally, you have 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing data analytics role (e.g. in a management consultancy) (non mandatory)
