Tem·3 days ago
We have built the new way for energy to be transacted.
tem exists to fix a creaking energy market. Today's wholesale system is stacked in favour of the few - a relic of the oil and gas era, riddled with markups and middlemen. We're changing that.
Our product, RED™, is built on a proprietary pricing engine that bypasses the wholesale market, enabling businesses to buy energy produced by renewable generators directly. That means clear, auditable transactions that ensure affordable bills and fair compensation - giving every business real ownership and control over where their energy comes from.
Since launching in 2021, we've saved UK businesses and generators over £25 million, powering a growing network of forward-thinking companies, from Pizza Pilgrims to Silverstone.
Backed by top-tier VCs including Atomico and Albion, we're creating a new category in energy - one that's decentralised, direct, and built on trust.
🏅 The Role
We're hiring a Senior Content Specialist.
Your job is to create consistently high-engagement content that people actively want to read, share, and return to. By engagement, we mean content that is actively read, reused, referenced, or shared by brokers, partners, or internal teams. You'll own the execution of these standout content pieces across formats, with a sharp focus on clarity, relevance, and audience pull.
This is a hands-on execution role. Success comes from shipping excellent content, not from owning systems, strategy, or team-level outcomes. You'll work with the Content Lead to turn briefs into finished work that earns attention and gets used.
You will use AI as a production accelerator to maintain high throughput without sacrificing craft. We expect you to ship consistently, adapt content across formats, and translate complex energy concepts into simple, credible explanations that our partners actually reuse and genuinely connects with our generators and businesses.
This role is about delivery and engagement craft. You will be reliable, focused, and easy to work with, producing content that shows up in how it gets used, not in proxy metrics.
🚀 Responsibilities
Produce high-quality content across formats: written pieces, social posts, short-form video, email content, and educational assets that earn attention through strong hooks, clear structure, and tangible value.
Design content for readability and engagement with scannable layouts, logical flow, and purposeful pacing that people actually finish and remember.
Translate complex energy market concepts into simple, credible explanations without oversimplifying, especially for brokers and partners.
Use AI tools for first drafts, research, restructuring, and repurposing, applying judgement and editing to ensure output meets tem's quality and tone standards.
Maintain a steady publishing rhythm with personal accountability for delivery, focusing on depth over noise.
Create clear, credible content that helps brokers understand and explain tem, turning product updates into simple, usable explanations.
Adapt content for different contexts without diluting its core idea or clarity.
Pay close attention to how content is received (what gets read, shared, referenced, or ignored) and adjust tone, format, and structure based on real engagement signals.
Learn by shipping and refining rather than over-planning, keeping notes on what works for your own practice.
Work closely with Product Marketing when translating technical changes into plain language.
🎯 Success measures
This role is succeeding when:
Content is consistently shipped, clear, and engaging without close oversight.
Pieces are referenced, shared, or remembered without prompting.
Partners reuse and actively reference our content.
Complex topics are explained simply and confidently.
Feedback from brokers, partners, or internal teams trends towards “this is useful” rather than “this exists.”
The role is reliable, focused, and easy to work with.
Quality shows up in how the content is used.
🎯 Requirements
2-5 years content marketing experience, ideally B2B SaaS or tech.
Strong writing ability as primary skill: this is non-negotiable.
Demonstrated ability to create visual content (social graphics, basic video editing, motion graphics, or similar).
Proven AI tool proficiency with specific workflow examples showing how you use AI to accelerate production.
Track record of consistent output. Be ready to share weekly volume numbers from past roles.
Ability to translate technical or complex topics into clear, engaging content.
Experience maintaining publishing cadence and personal accountability for delivery.
Portfolio demonstrating regular publishing rhythm, not just polished one-offs.
Experience in energy, cleantech, or regulated industries.
Background in digital marketing generalist roles, YouTube/social content creation, or fast-paced agency environments.
Motion graphics or animated explainer video skills.
Experience creating broker or partner enablement content.
Can demonstrate specific productivity gains from AI tool adoption (it’s early days, we know, but we want to see how you’re embracing AI to scale your capabilities).
