Platform Engineer (not traditional DevOps) focused on modernizing a Developer Portal in Azure environments, with expertise in Harness, AKS, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, IaC, Ansible and CI/CD tooling.
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with deep expertise in MS Azure and modern DevOps practices. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, automation, and developer experience – designed for someone who thrives in building robust, scalable, and developer-friendly platforms.
These are not only traditional DevOps tasks only; but, you will be building the platform layer that empowers engineering teams with seamless self-service capabilities, automated workflows, secure deployments, and full lifecycle management.
Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver in fast-paced environments.
Hands-on experience using Terraform/OpenTofu, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation is required. Knowledge of major cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP and their core services is essential (Azure is a hard requirement).
Familiarity with Platform Engineering concepts and building Internal Developer Platforms is highly desirable.
A solid understanding of DevOps practices such as GitOps, automated testing, observability, and security integration is needed, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, pipeline, and platform environments.
Responsibilities:
Must have
Experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure (ARM, Azure DevOps, Azure Load Balancers, VNETs, AKS).
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, Ansible and container orchestration patterns.
Practical experience with Harness, including setting up pipelines and integrations.
Strong IaC background (Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi, or ARM templates).
Experience with CI/CD tooling – especially in setting up secure and scalable delivery pipelines.
Proficiency in networking concepts: load balancing, DNS, ingress/egress, SSL/TLS.
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar).
