The International Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, expanding, and coordinating international business, global buyers, interco company activities, and strategic international clients.
The role focuses on market expansion, cross-border coordination, opportunity development, and providing strategic market insights to support sustainable growth across regions.
1. International Client & Buyer Development
- Develop and expand relationships with international clients and global buyers in line with company strategy.
- Identify and pursue new international business opportunities, including cross-border and intercompany services.
- Strengthen Eurofins’ positioning as a trusted international partner.
2. International Business & Intercompany Coordination
- Drive and coordinate international business and intercompany activities across countries.
- Work closely with local laboratories, regional teams, and global functions to deliver integrated and compliant service solutions.
- Support commercial alignment, contract reviews, and service scope discussions for international accounts.
3. Strategic Account & Issue Management
- Oversee international accounts to ensure smooth execution and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address commercial, technical, operational, or logistics-related challenges.
- Act as a key liaison between customers and internal teams across countries.
4. Support to Local Business Units
- Support Business Unit Managers (BUMA) and local sales teams in developing and executing international opportunities.
- Provide strategic input for complex, multi-country projects and clients.
- Share best practices in international business development.
5. Market Analysis & Strategic Insights
- Analyze international markets, industry trends, customer demands, and competitor activities.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to Management.
- Contribute to international business planning and market entry strategies.
6. Regional & Cross-Country Collaboration
- Collaborate with and support regional countries, including Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand.
- Facilitate alignment between local, regional, and global teams.
- Ensure effective communication and execution across international stakeholders.
- Proven experience in International Business Development or Strategic Sales.
- Strong capability to work in matrix and multicultural environments.
- Understanding of testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services or food industries with technical background.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biotechnology, Food Science, Chemistry, or other related disciplines.
- Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in business, management, or international trade are an advantage.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory for international communication.
- Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
