Role Overview:
The Frontend Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining the UI of the product. This includes implementing new features, fixing bugs, and creating UI-related documentation. The Frontend Engineer is also responsible for ensuring the user interface is compliant with accessibility standards, optimizing the user experience with respect to load time, and improving the performance of the product.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the UI for new features, including layout, images, buttons, typography, icons, etc.
- Work with the Product Manager to gather requirements for new features and also provide feedback on existing ones
- Write CSS to implement design wireframes into a functional prototype
- Update documentation as needed to reflect changes in UI or UX designs
- Communicate with the engineering team on the technical implementation of UI
- Implement new features that match specifications
- Fix bugs and defects in existing code
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards
- Optimize user experience with respect to load
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience
- Degree in computer science or computer engineering
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue and React
- Solid understanding of basic software design concepts
- Solid understanding of git tools e.g. GitHub
- UI/UX development experience Familiarity with database technology is a plus
- Familiarity with containerization, in particular, docker is a plus
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
