We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Investment Analyst – Operational Due Diligence to join our Investment Governance & Research team within the Product division at Netwealth. This role plays an essential part in strengthening the operational integrity of the investment managers and products available on our platform, ensuring they meet Netwealth’s expectations for quality, governance and regulatory compliance.
As operational risk, governance expectations and regulatory scrutiny continue to evolve, this role will be instrumental in delivering rigorous operational assessments, supporting investment governance processes, and contributing to the protection of our members’ interests.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct operational due diligence assessments across multiple asset classes, evaluating governance, operational capabilities and risk management.
Maintain ongoing monitoring of investment managers, identifying emerging risks and material operational changes.
Prepare high‑quality operational due diligence reports and insights for Investment Committees and senior stakeholders.
Support compliance with ASIC and APRA regulatory requirements, including CPS 230, SPS 530 and RG 259.
Participate in on‑site assessments, interviews and manager walkthroughs, while monitoring industry trends and evolving best practice.
You are an investment or operational risk professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for understanding how investment managers operate behind the scenes. You thrive in environments where attention to detail, sound judgement and structured problem‑solving are essential.
Your background includes:
3–5+ years’ experience in investment due diligence, investment research, operational risk or investment governance.
Strong understanding of investment manager governance, operational risk frameworks and oversight processes.
Familiarity with ASIC and APRA regulatory landscapes relevant to investment managers and platform operators.
Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, law or similar, with CFA/CAIA (or progression) highly regarded.
Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to assess complex operational environments and conduct on‑site reviews.
