Our expertise spans multiple cloud platforms, and we are looking for a talented Cloud Security Architect with strong experience in both Azure and AWS security solutions—including a specialization in Azure Sentinel—to join our dynamic team.
As a Cloud Security Specialist specializing in both Azure and AWS, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions across our clients' cloud environments. Working closely with our clients, you will assess their unique security requirements and leverage your expertise to architect robust and compliant security measures. While you will continue to drive innovation in Azure security using tools such as Azure Sentinel, you will also extend your capabilities to secure AWS environments using native AWS security services.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Security Strategy
- Develop and implement comprehensive cloud security strategies for both Azure and AWS that align with clients’ business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate the evolving threat landscape and adjust strategies to mitigate risks across multiple cloud platforms.
Azure Security & Sentinel Design
- Design, configure, and manage Azure Sentinel environments, including the creation of custom security playbooks, queries, and dashboards tailored to client needs.
- Leverage Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory Identity Protection, and Azure Key Vault to create an integrated security posture.
AWS Security Architecture
- Design and implement robust security frameworks in AWS, utilizing native services such as AWS Security Hub, Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, and Amazon Inspector.
- Develop best practices and automated workflows to enhance the security posture of AWS environments.
Security Assessment & Risk Evaluation
- Conduct thorough security assessments and risk evaluations across both Azure and AWS environments.
- Identify vulnerabilities, perform gap analyses, and recommend effective remediation strategies to fortify client infrastructures.
Security Policy Development
- Collaborate with clients to define, document, and implement security policies, standards, and procedures that address the specific requirements of their cloud deployments.
- Ensure that policies meet industry regulations and adhere to best practices for both cloud platforms.
Incident Response & Management
- Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures that leverage Azure Sentinel for Azure environments and AWS-specific tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config rules) for rapid detection and remediation in AWS.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely responses to security incidents across both platforms.
Security Training & Enablement:
- Provide training, mentoring, and support to clients’ IT teams, enhancing their understanding of cloud security best practices across both Azure and AWS.
- Develop user-friendly documentation and guidelines to ensure effective adoption and usage of security tools.
Security Integration
- Integrate diverse security solutions across cloud environments, ensuring a seamless and unified security architecture.
- For Azure, integrate with services like Azure Security Center and Azure Active Directory; for AWS, integrate with services such as AWS IAM, AWS Organizations, AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and other security tools.
Continuous Monitoring & Threat Detection
- Establish continuous monitoring frameworks using Azure Sentinel, AWS CloudWatch, and AWS Config to detect, analyze, and respond to security threats in real-time.
- Optimize alerting and automated response mechanisms to minimize impact and reduce resolution times.
Security Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, policies, procedures, and incident response protocols across both Azure and AWS environments.
- Generate regular security reports and provide actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams—including cloud administrators, developers, and compliance officers—to ensure a cohesive and resilient security posture.
- Act as a subject matter expert on cloud security, providing strategic advice and technical guidance during project planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a security architect with a focus on both Azure (including Azure Sentinel) and AWS security services.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure security services, Azure Sentinel, and Azure governance, alongside expertise in AWS security services including AWS Security Hub, Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS CloudTrail, and AWS Config.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) as well as regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) across both Azure and AWS environments.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell for Azure and Python/CLI for AWS) to streamline and enhance security operations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams across multi-cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to assess complex security challenges and recommend effective solutions tailored to both Azure and AWS infrastructures.
- Ability to stay updated with emerging security threats and technologies within both the Azure and AWS ecosystems.
