We need a Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team as the key business partner to our Marketplaces division, which operates across Walmart, Target Plus, TikTok Shop, and other third-party channels. This is a high-impact, strategic finance role where you’ll own the Marketplaces P&L, provide actionable insights, and influence decisions that shape Pattern’s growth trajectory. This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule based in Lehi.
What is a day in the life of a Finance Manager?
- Own the Marketplaces P&L: Drive monthly close, variance analysis, and forecasting for revenue, gross margin, and contribution margin across all marketplace channels.
- Deliver actionable insights: Build driver-based models and scenario analyses (pricing, logistics, promo, and fee changes) to inform decisions that grow profitability and optimize ROI.
- Strategic business partnership: Serve as the finance co-pilot to the Marketplaces leadership—analyzing trends, framing trade-offs, and building business cases for expansion and investment.
- Profitability & performance reporting: Deliver weekly/monthly performance packs that translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional partners.
- Pricing & promo governance: Partner with Sales and Marketing to evaluate promotional ROI, fee impacts, and channel strategy to maximize margin and growth.
- Automation & data accuracy: Work closely with Analytics and RevOps to improve financial reporting, automate recurring deliverables, and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Controls & compliance: Maintain disciplined budgeting and reporting practices within the Marketplaces cost centers.
What will I need to thrive in this role?
- 5–8+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or E-commerce Finance
- Direct P&L ownership and experience partnering with Sales or Commercial teams
- Strong analytical and modeling skills—advanced Excel/Sheets required; SQL and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) preferred
- Deep understanding of third-party marketplace dynamics (take rates, fees, promos, returns, fulfillment models)
- Proven ability to communicate financial insights clearly to cross-functional and executive stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA/CFA a plus
