ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking to strengthen our team in Greece with a passionate and experienced Senior GoLang Developer. This is a hybrid position, requiring two days per week in our office.

As an agile software company, our daily work revolves around testing, continuous integration and deployment, code reviews, and backlog refinement. Our backend services are primarily built in Go, leveraging modern frameworks and best practices to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

You will work in a cross-functional team that owns and maintains critical backend components of our platform. Together with your product manager and colleagues, you will design and implement features that help our customers manage their renewable portfolios in a constantly evolving energy market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Go.
• Build scalable, performant systems with high availability requirements.
• Implement robust solutions for real-time, event-driven architectures handling high-throughput sensor data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Work with Kubernetes and GitHub Actions for deployment and automation.
• Stay curious and continuously improve your skills through internal and external learning opportunities.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Go.
• Strong understanding of design patterns and system architecture for real-time systems.
• Hands-on experience with concurrency and event-driven programming.
• Solid database and API design experience, ideally with time-series workloads.
• Familiarity with modern development practices such as CI/CD and automated testing.
• Some experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge with your team.
