The New York Times is continuing to expand its video journalism, identifying compelling visual stories across the depth and breadth of our report. We showcase the expertise of Times journalists on-camera, share urgent news updates, and produce on-the-ground reporting, pioneering Visual Investigations, and video podcasts.
We are looking for a Video Editor based in Seoul who will work across a range of our video coverage. You would need to have a strong video editing background and a portfolio that demonstrates versatility in style, as well as the ability to deliver engaging work on tight deadlines. We’re looking for someone with deep experience in breaking and ongoing news coverage, as well as creating digitally compelling short-form video journalism. Your focus will be news, including reporter videos spun up later in the day on the East Coast. You will work closely with video journalists and producers, bringing the story to life with creative execution.
This is an in-office position, based in Seoul and includes regular attendance in the office four days each week. There may be some flexibility to work remotely per your departmental guidance. The role will report to the Senior Producer based in Seoul.
