What are you going to do?
You will help dozens of engineers do their best work by creating an environment where development “just works.” Your mission: identify and eliminate friction, improve reliability, and build tools and systems that boost developer productivity and satisfaction.
As part of the Developer Experience team, you will:
Provide and maintain a reliable build and deployment infrastructure
Improve development workflows—from automated testing to predictable local setups
Strengthen deployment capabilities and CI/CD processes
Continuously refine the tools and platforms engineers rely on every day
Your work will directly influence the speed, quality, and happiness of the people building TOPdesk’s products.
Where will you go?
You’ll join our fully remote Developer Experience team, with members in the Netherlands, Germany, and Hungary. We collaborate closely with fifteen development teams, plus our Operations and IT departments, to create the best possible developer experience across the company.
The team is part of TOPdesk’s international Development department, located in Delft, Tilburg, Kaiserslautern, and Budapest. We are proud of our open and informal culture, one that encourages personal growth, professional development, and continuous learning.
As a Developer Experience Engineer, you can dedicate 10% of your working time to personal development: experimenting, exploring, and deepening your expertise in areas that matter to you.
Are you our next innovative Developer Experience Engineer?
You are someone who:
Has 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Enjoys tackling technically complex development challenges.
Is curious about infrastructure and how systems fit together.
Has affinity with both programming and operations.
Communicates clearly and actively drives positive change.
Always thinks ahead and considers the next step for the Development department.
You have experience with some of the following:
Programming in TypeScript, Java, or Python
Delivery and deployment pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI)
Docker; Kubernetes experience is a bonus
Dependency management tools like Gradle, Maven, Nexus, or npm
VM and/or application management
Configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Ansible)
Linux
Prometheus / Alertmanager
