About the team:
Our Finance team is small and packed with talent! We assure Web Summit is compliant, facilitating change, high-growth, and providing guidance to the rest of the business.
- Assist with accounts payable tasks such as vendor onboarding, purchase order work flows and payment processing.
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks such as customer onboarding, raising invoices and allocation of receipts.
- Bank account and credit card reconciliations.
- Support with the preparation of various VAT and tax returns.
- Analysing and processing employee expense claims.
- Supporting month end reporting through the completion of various balance sheet recs, journal postings and other tasks.
- Working closely with the production and procurement teams.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Who you are:
- Strong attention to detail - This is very important as cost allocation can be very detailed and split among many cost centres. e.g. by event and team.
- Commitment to discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Work across multiple teams and easily adapt to change.
Skills we like:
- You have 3+ years experience in a similar role or working towards obtaining ACCAs.
- English and Portuguese language fluency (verbal and written), with experience working in Brazil and our Portugal a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with AccountsIQ, Monday.com, Zoho Expenses would be a plus.
- Problem solving and analytical skills – ability to use critical thinking and a logical and methodical approach to solving problems.
