Role
We are looking for a Staff QA/Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week in San Jose, CA, reporting to the Manager of ZTB Team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of the ZTB product.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
Design and develop automation test frameworks and suites to ensure Zscaler products meet reliability, scalability, and resilience standards
Plan and execute test suites for each release cycle, ensuring thorough coverage and quality assurance
Develop innovative test strategies to simulate real-world customer usage scenarios effectively
Integrate regression test suites with CI/CD pipelines while monitoring results to ensure seamless workflows
Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and engineering teams to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
4+ years of QA, test, or automation development experience specifically for network and security products
Proficiency in RESTful APIs and exposure to networking layer protocols such as BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, or VxLAN
Skilled in Python and/or PyTest with experience testing routers, firewalls, and micro-segmentation products
Expertise in testing cloud-based architectures, virtual machines (VMs), and containerized deployments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with security and compliance certifications such as FIPS, FedRAMP, Common Criteria, or SOC2
Proven track record in Agile development and testing processes within high-growth environments
CCNA certification or equivalent depth of networking knowledge

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
