We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Senior Financial Analyst to serve as the primary point of contact for all Sales Area reporting. This role plays a critical part in delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights to support business decisions, sales planning, and margin management. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial analysis skills with advanced data mining and reporting expertise, partnering closely with Product Management to drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and provide clear, executive-ready insights.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare/develop financial analysis, insight and interpretation of results and be able to communicate findings in executive summaries.
- Complete assigned reports accurately and on time.
- Be proficient in data mining and correlate multiple data points to identify, synthesize and recommend business decisions and direction.
- Identify and execute process improvement opportunities, including automating existing reports and stream-lining processes to increase efficiency.
- Support Sales Planning process, margin planning and reviews with business unit and management team.
- Conduct Sales/Margin/Ad-hoc analysis, analyze and provide recommendations regarding potential risks and opportunities to the business.
- Assist with presentations to support management.
- Use system and financial expertise to drive continuous improvement within the controlling group.
- Support annual business planning and forecasting process
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or similar discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience accounting or similar
- 5+ years of Excel experience (pivot tables, V-lookups, Sum-if, IF Statement, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
- SAP and automation software experience (Alteryx, Automation Anywhere, PowerBI, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis and accounting procedures and knowledge of how other departments impact the company's financials.
- Experience working directly with sales teams a plus.
- Hyperion Financial Management & Business Warehouse knowledge a plus.
- Ability to understand/solve complex issues, summarize, and provide accurate advice required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills (both written and oral).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- High level of curiosity with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivation, proactive, and resourcefulness with the ability to apply a high level of attention to detail and accuracy while balancing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
