Job Role: Mortgage Brokering Support VA
Compensation range: $1,200 AUD - $1,500 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

The company prides itself on delivering expert, personalized mortgage advice that simplifies the home-buying and refinancing process for individuals and investors alike.
Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Brokering Support Virtual Assistant to provide end-to-end administrative and processing support to our mortgage broking team. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and experience supporting loan processing workflows, ensuring applications move smoothly from submission through settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
Loan Processing & Administration
- Prepare and process mortgage applications for submission to banks and non-bank lenders (both Shariah & Conventional)
- Collect & verify client information, income, assets, liabilities, and supporting documentation
- Prepare loan submissions in accordance with lender policies and credit guidelines
- Package and submit loan applications to lenders via lender portals and aggregator systems
- Follow up with lenders for approvals, conditions, and progress updates
- Order valuations and other third-party reports as required
- Manage valuation outcomes as required
- Add customer and notes to CRM and manage task manager with Sydney team/s
Client & Stakeholder Support
- Act as a point of contact for clients during the loan process
- Liaise with clients & third parties to request and follow up outstanding documentation
- Liaise with brokers, lenders, solicitors, conveyancers, accountants, real estate agents, valuers etc
- Provide regular status updates to clients and brokers
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure loan files meet regulatory and compliance requirements
- NCCP Act and Responsible Lending obligations
- ASIC regulatory requirements
- Aggregator and internal compliance standards
- Assist with compliance checks, audits and file reviews
- Maintain accurate records and notes in CRM or loan processing systems
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information
- Ensure timelines and service standards are met
Post-Approval & Settlements
- Manage loan conditions and coordinate loan approvals
- Prepare documents for settlement
- Liaise with settlement agents and lenders to ensure timely completion
- Assist with post-settlement tasks, file closure and record keeping
Requirements
- Experience in mortgage processing, loan administration is preferred (minimum 2 years)
- Knowledge of home loans, credit policies, and lending processes
- Familiarity with CRM systems and lender portals (e.g. ApplyOnline, Mercury, LoanApp, SharePoint/OneDrive etc.)
- Relevant qualifications (desirable) i.e. Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking or equivalent

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
