About the Role:
The 3D Modeler is responsible for creating accurate and detailed 3D environments based on client specifications, ensuring adherence to standards and protocols. This specialist role collaborates closely with the 3D Visualisation team to deliver high-quality assets within agreed timeframes.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Research, Reference Gathering, and Analysis

- Quality Assurance and Sign-off
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurate 3D Environment Creation
- Appropriately review, analyse, and problem-solve client drawings and specifications prior to build commencement
- Create 'Request for Information' documents that include all questions and thoughtful assumptions, adhering to protocols.
- Model environments based on provided drawings and assumptions, ensuring 100% accuracy
- Include additional elements to models, such as geometry fillets, chamfering of edges, shadow lines, and material panel breakups, even if not provided in drawings
- Maintain layer structure standards at all times
- Create surrounding context, site elements, and viewline panoramas
- Ensure effective handover of finished projects to the 3D Visualiser following internal templates
Research, Reference Gathering, and Analysis
- Conduct research to gather relevant references for architectural details, materials, and construction methods
- Analyse and interpret client drawings and specifications to ensure accurate representation in 3D models
- Continuously update and refine the reference library to align with project requirements and industry best practices
Technical, Contextual, and Real-World Understanding
- Develop a deep understanding of architectural principles, construction methods, and detailing
- Demonstrate awareness of site-specific conditions, such as topography, surrounding buildings, and environmental factors
- Apply real-world constraints and building regulations to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of 3D models
- Collaborate with the 3D Visualisation team to ensure seamless integration of 3D assets into the visualisation process
- Stay up-to-date with new plug-ins, software, and techniques in the field of 3D modeling
- Actively discuss with management methods of integrating new technologies and workflows into the studio or project pipeline
- Engage with new protocols and master them to continuously evolve skillset and advance workflows
- Understand and accurately represent real-world technical elements, such as:
- Sliding door mechanisms and functionality
- Skirting board designs and placement
- Capping materials and applications
- Brick sizes, patterns, and textures
