This is a production-focused web design role. Designers work directly inside Popmenu’s
proprietary web builder to deliver ready-to-launch client websites. The role blends visual design
with light front-end styling using HTML and CSS to ensure responsiveness, accessibility, and
polish. This is not a software engineering role, no JavaScript frameworks, application
development, or from-scratch builds. Success in this role comes from strong design judgment,
comfort working within templates, and the ability to use CSS to refine and resolve layout issues
efficiently.
Responsibilities

designing in production rather than creating mockups

requirements
• Execute efficient, template-based site builds while maintaining visual quality and brand
alignment
• Contribute to site redesign projects, updating layouts, styles, and clearly scoped

extending color palettes, and sourcing or modifying imagery when needed

• Apply SEO best practices for page structure, metadata, and image descriptions
• Collaborate with Onboarding and Success teams and join calls for complex requests or
escalations when needed
• Incorporate internal and client feedback accurately and efficiently
• Intermediate proficiency in HTML and CSS (1+ year), with a focus on layout,
responsiveness, and accessibility—not application development
• Strong foundation in web design principles, including hierarchy, spacing, typography,
and mobile-first design
• Working knowledge of responsive layouts (Flexbox/Grid) and browser DevTools for
troubleshooting
• Basic understanding of SEO best practices for site structure, metadata, and image alt
text
• Comfort working in a template-based environment, adapting designs within defined
systems and constraints
• Moderate experience with graphic editing tools (Photoshop, GIMP, Affinity, or
similar) to resize, retouch, and adjust assets
• Ability to make thoughtful design decisions when brand assets are incomplete or
minimal

• Fluent in written and spoken English
