About the role - What’s your purpose?

Signal AI, the A.I.-powered platform for corporate reputation and risk intelligence, is hiring a Junior Insights Analyst. In this pivotal role, you will work alongside our Senior Analysts to see what’s driving corporate reputation and contextualise the “why” behind the data. You’ll turn our first-of-its-kind reputation platform—which quantifies the reputation of hundreds of companies—into storytelling and reports that make corporations smarter and decisions easier. In this role, you’ll access our proprietary scoring engine, uncover the “signal in the noise” to explain those scores, and write insights reports for senior executives. It’s the perfect opportunity for people who love diving into the data, understand the exciting stories to tell, and know how to present them with wit and personality. It’s not about using Python to build data platforms and BI but about having the skills to identify what’s interesting in the data.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities - What you will be doing:

You’ll work with Senior Analysts and Principals to:

• Dive into our proprietary data platform and index, scoring hundreds of companies across hundreds of topics that define corporate reputation (see our Signal AI 500 index here)

• Pull and plot metrics, finding smart ways to visualise data, and tell better stories

• Generate ideas on opportunities and risks to the client based on data patterns

• Get smart on complex industries

• Co-write reports in PowerPoint (visual acumen is essential)

• Deliver executive-level insights for our client pitches.

• You have strong critical thinking and analytical skills

• You know how to visualise charts and lay out data that tells an impactful story

• You’ve likely spent internships or the first year of your career at a research company or institution, or in an analytics/strategy function at an agency or consultancy

• You have a global outlook and sensitivity to how media and culture intersect with corporate reputation and risks.

• You want to work on the next wave of insights, using transformational AI technology to drive business intelligence forward

• You’re hungry to be part of a fast-growing company that values entrepreneurship, enthusiasm and initiative

Must-have skills:

• Passion for and experience diving into the data: You enjoy diving into data points and extracting insights that tell stories executives don’t already know. This means being familiar with pulling, plotting and visualising data

• Curiosity and an analytical mind

• Excel, data and mathematical skills to “slice and dice” the data into your own pivot views, and follow scoring methodologies

• Strong critical thinking skills - the ability to take an ambiguous ask and break down how to answer it

• A keen sense for data visualisation using tools such as PowerPoint, Canva etc.

• A keen sense for copywriting to help editorialise and “TL;DR” your research into business insights for C-Suite leaders.

• A can-do attitude and future-looking mindset - you are proactive and energetic, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to problem solve or create solutions.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with social listening/media monitoring tools

• Background in / experience working for professional or financial services
