We are seeking a visionary Silicon Lead to launch and guide our new team focused on automotive and robotics. This is a rare opportunity to define the functional safety roadmap for high-performance AI silicon and shape how it’s deployed in next-generation vehicles and intelligent machines.

This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, ON or Austin, TX.

Who You Are

Experienced in delivering safety-critical hardware, with a proven ability to design and/or validate complex CPUs or AI accelerators for automotive or robotics applications.
A leader who builds and motivates high-performing engineering teams, setting ambitious standards and driving cross-functional execution.
Skilled in navigating safety standards like ISO 26262, architecting solutions that balance compliance with accelerated development timelines.
Adept at solving complex technical challenges across hardware, software, and systems in dynamic, interdisciplinary environments.

What We Need

Set the vision and build the robotics AI hardware team, driving hiring, growth, and long-term strategy.
Adapt Tenstorrent’s high-performance silicon to meet the functional safety requirements of next-gen automotive and robotics systems.
Collaborate closely with hardware, verification, and systems teams to ensure a seamless and safety-compliant development flow.
Lead functional safety initiatives hands-on, with a deep focus on execution quality and reliability standards.
