We are seeking experienced Insurance Underwriting professionals to support a technology-driven risk analytics initiative. In this project-based role, you will collaborate with teams developing automated insurance workflows and contribute expert insights that enhance AI-driven underwriting, risk assessment, and rating logic. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with deep Property & Casualty underwriting experience who want to leverage their expertise in an innovative environment focused on process improvement and automation.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate application data, loss history, and third-party reports (CLUE, MVR, LexisNexis, etc.) to determine underwriting eligibility.
- Calculate premiums using ISO manuals, class codes, and carrier-specific rating methodologies.
- Analyze historical claims to identify loss trends and compare loss ratios against industry standards.
- Draft policy terms and prepare coverage documentation, including endorsements and declarations.
- Review referred or complex cases and provide documented decisions, supported by clear rationale and risk treatment recommendations.
Ideal Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial or personal lines underwriting experience; exposure to platforms such as Guidewire or Duck Creek is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO classification codes, rating manuals, and policy form structures.
- Proven ability to assess risks using multiple data sources and detailed analysis.
- Experience handling multi-line policies, including property, auto, and general liability.
- Proficiency reviewing and interpreting external report sources such as CLUE, MVR, and LexisNexis.
