About the role
We are looking for a Video Producer/Editor to join our team, helping to create work that makes a real difference on social issues.
The Video Producer/Editor will be a hands-on creative thinker and will take responsibility for ideating and creating engaging, innovative video content.
Preferably based in London, you will be an experienced editor with a strong showreel of journalistic / current affairs projects. You will have worked in a number of different styles and formats, and will be a confident user of Adobe Premiere. Ideally, you will also have some producing experience, and will be able to source archive and write scripts where needed. You will be able to create fairly simple motion graphics as needed for your videos.
Ideally, you will speak one or more Eastern European languages (please indicate which on your application) – however, we will also accept applicants who do not have these languages. You’ll also need excellent spoken and written English.
What you’ll be doing:
· Editing a constant flow of short videos
· Generating ideas and creative concepts as part of wider campaign brainstorms within the internal project teams
· If needed, scripting and carrying out archive research
· Finishing videos to a high technical standard
· Creating motion graphics as needed
Creative skills required:
• Extensive professional experience in using video editing software – Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro (Premiere preferred)
• Good motion graphics skills (Adobe AfterEffects)
• Strong script writing skills (desirable)
• Experience of a news/documentary environment preferred (eg producing social content for a news organisation)
Other experience required:
• Motivated self-starter, flexible and adaptable to change
• Eastern European languages preferred, but not essential
• Comfortable developing content and communicating in English
• This is a UK-based role (London preferred)
