We move fast, think big, and love bold ideas that push boundaries (and buttons). From new rewards to fresh game mechanics, every challenge is a chance to innovate and have fun doing it. Our culture is collaborative, curious, and full of laughter because great ideas grow best between coffee, code, and a few epic high-fives.
Overview
We’re looking for an Animator / Motion Designer to help bring our Modo app to life. Motion plays a big role in how our product feels, and this person will own animations and transitions across the experience, from subtle UI interactions to more expressive moments like animated illustrations, dynamic lobby banners, and reward animations (think coins flowing into a wallet).
This isn’t a “just follow the spec” role. We’re looking for someone who can proactively suggest animations and transitions, improve flows with motion, and collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering to make the app feel smooth, responsive, and delightful.
Own motion and interaction design across the Modo app
Propose and design animations and transitions that enhance usability and bring personality to the product
Create smooth UI transitions and thoughtful micro-interactions tied to user actions
Design animated illustrations, banners, and special moments (rewards, progress, feedback, etc.)
Work closely with designers and engineers to turn ideas into polished, production-ready animations
Help shape motion guidelines and consistency across the product
Create animation and media assets that can be easily integrated into web applications
Support animations triggered by user interactions (clicks, hovers, taps, gestures)
Ensure animations run smoothly across browsers and platforms (mobile & desktop, Safari, Chrome, Firefox)
Optimize animations for performance and real-world usage
Strong motion design and animation skills, with a good eye for timing, easing, and detail
Experience creating animations for digital products, apps, or interactive experiences
Ability to think beyond static designs and suggest how motion can improve flows and interactions
Comfort collaborating with engineers and understanding technical constraints
Someone who cares about how things feel, not just how they look
Experience working on highly interactive apps, games, or consumer products
Familiarity with modern web animation workflows (e.g. Lottie, CSS/JS animations, After Effects exports)
Interest in building a cohesive motion language across a product
