Summary
We seek a strong product leader with experience in clinical and genomics enabled products to help shape and execute product strategy across a broad range of healthcare markets including pediatric and adult care, specialty medicine, population health, and acute care settings. This role supports the development and optimization of clinical products that leverage genomic insights, molecular technologies, and other advanced clinical modalities.
This role drives future healthcare impact by helping patients with complex genetic needs by shaping Target Product Profiles and presenting investment recommendations. You will work independently as a genomics product expert, create roadmaps, and collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Commercial, Market Access, Medical/Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, R&D, Operations, PMO, and Finance.
This role reports to the Senior Director within the Clinical Product Strategy team.
Job Responsibilities
Strategy and Portfolio Leadership
- Contribute to productline strategy and help influence vision, goals, and success metrics for assigned products.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and adoption barriers.
- Translate insights into clear product concepts, proposals, and recommendations for leadership review.
- Support development and maintenance of product roadmaps aligned to strategic priorities.
Business Case, Pricing, and Economics
- Support creation of Target Product Profiles (TPPs), business cases, and financial models (COGS, yield, capacity, reimbursement assumptions, pricing, and gross margin scenarios).
- Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to refine pricing and economic models.
Evidence, Compliance, and Market Access
- Contribute to evidence and validation plans by identifying key customer outcomes and data needs.
- Assist in developing regulatory strategies and ensure product requirements incorporate design control and quality standards.
- Maintain alignment between product positioning, evidence generation, market access strategy, and gotomarket plans.
Data, Insights, and Decision Quality
- Gather and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data across clinical, market, operational, and financial sources.
- Partner with analytics and insights teams to support market models, customer research, and pricing studies.
- Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for product decisions and milestone readiness.
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (molecular biology, genetics, bioengineering, biomedical, chemistry) or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 5-7+ years in product management, product strategy, or related roles within clinical testing, diagnostics, digital health, biotechnology, or life sciences.
- Track Record: Successful launches of life sciences, consumer genomics or clinical diagnostic products with demonstrable market impact.
- Expertise: Required experience in clinical diagnostics; highly preferred background in clinical genetics and/or market access/payer strategy. Deep knowledge of positioning, pricing, reimbursement, commercialization, payer dynamics, and evidence requirements.
- Strategy Ownership: Proven ability to lead multi-dimensional product proposals and product-line strategies from concept through scale. Mastery in TPPs, business cases, and scenario modeling.
- Regulatory/Quality: Strong familiarity with FDA and CLIA environments, design control, and embedding compliance within product strategy.
- Customer Centricity: Demonstrated success building strong customer relationships and identifying needs through direct customer-facing roles (sales, MSL, business development) or substantial customer exposure (product management, genetic counseling).
- Stakeholder Management: Influences across Commercial, Market Access, Market Analytics & and Insights, Medical/Clinical Affairs, Bioinformatics, Regulatory/Quality Affairs, R&D, and Operations; operates with high autonomy.
- Executive Communication: Crafts concise, executive-level narratives and communicates complex trade-offs clearly.
- Leadership: Exercises sound judgment and collaborative leadership, thrives in ambiguity, mentors PMs, and sets high standards for strategy deliverables.
- Finance Fundamentals: Solid grasp of unit economics, COGS, ROI, pricing/margin levers, and sensitivity analyses.
Work Environment
- This is a fully remote position. The employee will work from a home office or other suitable remote location with reliable high-speed internet access. Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment using standard office equipment including computer, phone, and video conferencing tools. Your standard work schedule and hours will be established in collaboration with your leader and may be adjusted to align with evolving business needs.

This is a sedentary role requiring prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer. Physical demands include:
