As a Senior Product Manager for AI Studio, you will support the strategy, execution, and scaling of Vocal Media’s AI-powered products and programs. This role sits at the intersection of AI experimentation, operations, and client delivery—owning both internal innovation pipelines and external, client-facing AI programs.
You will be responsible for building and managing scalable systems, technical tools, and cross-functional teams that enable rapid experimentation while delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes. Acting as a core connector between engineering, creative, operations, and client teams, you will translate ambitious ideas into durable products that can grow with Vocal’s needs and mission.
Responsibilities
AI Product Strategy & Scaling
Alongside Vocal’s Director of AI Strategy, guide the vision and roadmap for AI Studio, balancing internal experimentation with scalable, client-ready solutions.
Lead the transition from prototype to production—turning early AI experiments into stable tools, workflows, and programs.
Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and scale AI capabilities across multiple clients and programs.
Operations & Experimentation Management
Manage systems for internal AI experimentation, including intake, prioritization, testing, and evaluation processes.
Establish clear operational frameworks to support rapid iteration without sacrificing reliability or quality.
Partner with operations and data teams to build reporting, monitoring, and feedback loops that inform product decisions.
Anticipate operational risks and constraints as AI tools scale, proactively addressing performance, compliance, and resource needs.
Client-Facing Programs & Delivery
Oversee AI-enabled client programs from discovery through delivery, ensuring strong alignment between client needs and product capabilities.
Collaborate with client teams to scope requirements, manage timelines, and set clear expectations for AI-driven outcomes.
Ensure consistent quality and performance across all client-facing AI tools, services, and workflows.
Translate client feedback into actionable product improvements and roadmap priorities.
Technical Team & Tool Building
Partner closely with engineers, data scientists, and technical vendors to design, build, and ship AI-powered tools, platforms, and internal systems.
Contribute meaningfully to technical architecture and system design discussions, including data pipelines, model integration, automation workflows, and internal tooling.
Serve as a technical bridge between engineering teams, AI creatives, and client-facing stakeholders—ensuring shared understanding of system capabilities, limitations, and tradeoffs.
Support iteration, debugging, and performance optimization by maintaining a strong understanding of systems end-to-end.
Make informed build vs. buy decisions, evaluating vendors, APIs, and tools for scalability, cost, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management, including ownership of complex products in cross-functional environments
- Strong technical fluency, with the ability to understand system architecture, data flows, APIs, and core AI concepts—without needing to be hands-on engineering
- Experience partnering closely with engineers and data scientists to ship AI-powered, automation-driven, or data-informed products
- Ability to translate user, client, and business needs into clear product requirements and priorities
- Comfort engaging in technical discussions, asking the right questions, and understanding tradeoffs related to scalability, performance, and reliability
- Proven experience taking products from early experimentation through launch and ongoing iteration
- Strong organizational and operational skills; able to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
- Experience operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving requirements
- Familiarity with AI tools, workflow automation, or data-driven systems preferred
- Alignment with social impact, mission-driven work, or purpose-led organizations preferred
