We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex business and software transformation initiatives across public sector clients. In this role, you will manage multi-year enterprise software projects, including ERP, HCM/HRIS, financial management, and utility billing systems, ensuring successful planning, procurement, and implementation. You will act as a key liaison between client teams and software vendors, coordinating efforts across IT, finance, HR, and operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different time zones. Your expertise in project management, business process analysis, and enterprise software will allow you to guide clients through transformation initiatives while delivering high-quality outcomes. Travel to client sites may be required, typically up to 25-40% of the time.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the delivery of enterprise software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and software vendors, managing project governance and vendor performance.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings, interviews, and workshops to document client needs and challenges.
- Support procurement activities including RFP development, software demonstrations, reference checks, and contract scoping.
- Supervise implementation lifecycle for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software, coordinating client and vendor tasks.
- Maintain project and resource plans, conduct status meetings, track performance indicators, and ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
- Facilitate client decision-making processes, including configuration, testing, training, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, report, and coordinate the mitigation of project risks.
- Support internal operations such as business development, knowledge sharing, and staff development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 4–6 years of project management experience, preferably supporting enterprise software implementations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings and public presentations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results independently.
- Experience working across multiple time zones and with distributed teams.
- Problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills to address project issues proactively.
- Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with diverse client and vendor teams.
- Knowledge of quality assurance/control procedures and proactive risk management.
- Experience with enterprise software functionality, methodology, technology, and integrations is highly desirable.
- Consulting experience or prior work with software vendors is a plus.
- Positive, adaptable, and motivated demeanor with strong organizational and self-management skills.
