In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of insurance claims presented by clients and leading the operational workflow of the Claims Department. Your contributions will ensure efficient processing of claims, advocacy for clients, and oversight of a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of service and compliance. Accountabilities
- Setup and submit new claims to insurance carriers and manage follow-up activities.
- Review and verify coverage, notify stakeholders of any issues and new claims.
- Advocate for clients on coverage disputes and manage lawsuits prior to filing.
- Oversee daily activities and conduct performance evaluations for the Claims Department.
- Facilitate training and guidance for department personnel while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Attend client claim reviews and implement changes to improve departmental processes.
- Manage departmental matters including personnel issues and absence schedules.
Requirements
- Valid P&C Brokers license required.
- 10+ years of multi-line claims handling experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience in claims.
- Advanced knowledge of property and casualty coverage.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Strong client advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
