In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing a comprehensive communications strategy for the Association. You will lead a dedicated team, fostering effective internal and external partnerships while ensuring the Association's voice and objectives are effectively communicated. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on strategic initiatives and represents the Association in key communications collaborations. Your leadership will drive best practices and elevate the proficiency of communication efforts across various audiences and platforms.
Accountabilities
- Create, lead and execute communication strategies for internal and external audiences.
- Lead large strategic initiatives in collaboration with senior staff.
- Manage the Association’s voice and relationship management with various stakeholders.
- Serve as the principal communications liaison to public affairs and media relations partners.
- Manage a team of communication professionals.
- Coordinate and complete deliverables on time and budget.
- Identify and recommend enhancements for strategic external initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or similar field required.
- 5+ years of experience in Communications strategic development and leadership preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in people leadership with direct reports required.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional strategic projects.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products required.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of property insurance preferred.
