In this essential role, the Controller will oversee the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting across a dynamic, inventory-driven organization. This position will collaborate with the CFO, external partners, and various cross-functional teams to ensure effective accounting execution and decision-making support. The successful candidate will manage the entire accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while also providing valuable financial insights to drive operational success. This is a pivotal role for establishing robust accounting policies and controls.
Accountabilities
- Own and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements for internal and external reporting.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies and documentation.
- Serve as the technical accounting lead for GAAP interpretation.
- Oversee inventory accounting and cost analysis.
- Support external audits and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash operations and accounts receivable processes.
- Analyze financial trends and provide decision support.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in management.
- Deep expertise in NetSuite and financial reporting standards.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and inventory-based businesses.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to implement scalable accounting systems.
- Experience managing audits and cross-functional relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to drive both strategic and tactical initiatives.
