In this pivotal role, you will influence the design and implementation of cloud and DevOps tooling capabilities that empower teams across various functions. Your leadership will drive improvements in developer productivity and daily operations while ensuring quality assurance through suitable infrastructure support. You will be collaborating across disciplines to create a best-in-class engineering team and contribute to a continuous delivery practice, all in a remote-friendly environment.
Accountabilities
- Lead the team of DevOps engineers in a highly agile environment focused on monitoring, automation, and tools development.
- Work closely with engineering and product leadership to architect technical solutions in large-scale data environments.
- Coordinate with partners from various teams including Solution Architecture and Development.
- Create an internal environment based on teamwork, innovation, and dedication to quality.
- Manage the continuous delivery practice for software and data pipeline development.
- Perform pre-assessments to assist customers on their DevOps journey.
- Monitor developer activities to mitigate roadblocks and ensure timely task completion.
Requirements
- Expertise in DevOps concepts and tools such as Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes, microservices, and container deployment.
- Strong background with Unix/Linux platforms.
- 8-10 years of DevOps experience, including automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Expertise in AWS/Cloud Administration and network security fundamentals.
- Communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships at all levels.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
