This role is a senior engineering leadership position responsible for overseeing the full consumer acquisition engineering organization, spanning multiple teams across North and Latin America. The Director of Engineering will drive technical strategy, deliver high-impact products, and ensure operational excellence across sales tools, AI-driven automation, eCommerce platforms, and marketing technology. This position combines hands-on technical leadership with team building and strategic planning, providing opportunities to influence large-scale engineering initiatives that directly impact revenue growth, platform performance, and customer experience. You will collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and executive stakeholders while managing distributed teams and fostering innovation through AI and modern software practices. Success in this role requires both technical depth and the ability to scale high-performing engineering teams in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and grow multiple engineering teams across the US, Canada, and LATAM, building high-performing squads and managing staff engineers.
- Own end-to-end engineering for the consumer acquisition funnel, including marketing websites, lead generation, telesales tools, eCommerce conversion, and customer onboarding systems.
- Drive technical strategy, architecture, and hands-on code reviews, ensuring scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
- Deliver AI-powered automation for outbound sales, lead qualification, and operational optimization, integrating with internal platforms and external services.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Marketing, Sales, and executives to align engineering outcomes with business objectives and revenue goals.
- Oversee platform simplification, modernization, and continuous improvement to reduce complexity and enhance performance.
- Foster a culture of innovation, operational discipline, and continuous learning within the engineering organization.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years leading engineering teams.
- Proven experience managing multiple squads or distributed teams of 15+ engineers across time zones.
- Hands-on technical expertise in web applications, distributed systems, APIs, and SaaS product development.
- Experience delivering high-scale B2C products, balancing technical excellence with business impact.
- Strong agentic or AI-native coding skills, with active involvement in architecture and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with sales, CRM, marketing technology, and AI productivity tools (e.g., Cursor, Make.com, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, Vercel).
- Experience with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes) and integration-heavy platforms (Twilio, Segment, Braze, SendGrid, Google/Meta Ads).
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of building and retaining high-performing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
