This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Tax Manager - REMOTE. In this role, you will significantly impact tax compliance and reporting across multiple business lines in the Americas. You will work collaboratively with accounting teams to ensure all tax documentation and filing requirements are met efficiently. Your expertise will help drive innovative solutions and process improvements while maintaining compliance with indirect and withholding tax regulations. Accountabilities
- Prepare and process tax forms, including service tax calculation, filing and remittance.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a tax compliance calendar for timely reporting.
- Work with local finance to resolve tax disputes.
- Partner with corporate tax to maintain compliance systems.
- Record journal entries for GAAP to stat or GAAP to tax differences.
- Verify documentation and prepare filing for withholding tax and local tax requirements.
- Calculate roll forward of deferred income taxes and accrued income taxes payable.
- Ensure applicable GL accounts tie to tax schedules.
- Respond timely to inquiries from tax jurisdictions.
- Prepare other necessary tax reporting schedules.
- Identify process improvement ideas utilizing industry best practices.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Experience in international tax, including VAT and/or GST.
- Strong work ethic and self-starter with effective organizational skills.
- Keen attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure.
- Excellent communication and partnership skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and a drive for understanding the work.
