Kpler is hiring an experienced, hands-on Procurement Manager to implement, professionalise and scale our procurement function. This role will own the implementation of a Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) system and related workflows, and will drive vendor contract governance, negotiations, and measurable cost savings as well as developing the processes and systems related to procurement activities. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can lead complex negotiations and systems rollouts end-to-end, while remaining highly operational and execution-focused.
Your mission is to:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of a P2P tool (requirements, vendor selection support and creation, configuration, rollout, training, change management)
- Design and standardize procure-to-pay workflows and policy (intake, approvals, PO, receiving, invoice matching, payment)
- Build and maintain procurement policies, approval matrices, and controls aligned with Finance and audit needs
- Drive automation and data quality across vendor onboarding, PO compliance, invoice matching, and spend categorization
- Partner with AP and finance overall to improve P2P compliance and reduce manual processing
- Create and maintain a contract repository and governance approach (renewals, notice periods, key terms, pricing mechanics)
- Own negotiation strategy and execution across key spend categories (SaaS, data, professional services, facilities, travel, etc.)
- Partner with budget owners to define needs, challenge requirements when needed, and ensure best value
- Identify consolidation opportunities, reduce tool sprawl, and increase contract discipline
- Support Legal and Security reviews by coordinating vendor due diligence inputs and documentation
- Build and maintain a procurement savings pipeline and track forecast vs realized savings
- Deliver measurable improvements in cycle time, compliance, and spend visibility
- Establish procurement reporting and KPIs for Finance leadership (savings, contract risk, adoption, process efficiency)
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, IT/Security, and department heads as a pragmatic business partner
- Educate stakeholders on procurement best practices and ensure smooth stakeholder experience without compromising governance
You could be a match if you are or have:
- Proven experience in procurement and vendor management in a fast-moving environment (scale-up or tech preferred)
- Demonstrated success implementing P2P systems and procurement automation end-to-end
- Strong negotiation track record with measurable commercial outcomes (cost reductions, improved terms, risk mitigation)
- Ability to build foundational procurement processes and governance (policies, templates, intake, approval flows)
- Strong commercial and financial acumen (TCO thinking, ROI framing, budget owner partnership)
- Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Highly organized, data-driven, and execution-focused with strong follow-through
Desirable experience
- Experience partnering closely with AP teams and improving PO and invoice matching compliance
- Familiarity with core contract structures and terms (MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, SLAs, renewals, termination clauses)
- Experience building a procurement function over time, including hiring an analyst or junior support
