About the role
We are looking for a QA coach who plays a pivotal role within the engineering team and can strive hard to enhance the overall quality of our software products and development processes by spreading the shift left mindset within the team.
Team up with other QA Coach’s to establish and maintain a culture of quality excellence through the implementation of best practices, methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives. The QA Coach collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify quality bottlenecks, drive quality assurance strategies, and provide guidance on testing frameworks, tools, and automation practices.
Key Accountabilities
- Quality Delivery & Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement of QA practices with a strong focus on automation and Lean/Agile ways of working
- Embed quality into the developer workflow through automation and “shift-left” testing
- Monitor and report on QA outcomes and automation maturity across squads
- Partner with Engineering Managers and senior QA leaders to drive a culture of quality excellence
- Proactively lead initiatives, take ownership of change, and deliver measurable outcomes
- QA Coaching & Capability Building
- Grow and nurture the QA practice through shared tools, standards, and ways of working
- Coach engineers to build quality into software from the start
- Support the evolution from squad-level QA to team-level quality ownership
- Contribute to QA resourcing models and future capability planning
- Enable teams through coaching, education, and change leadership
- Strategy & Transformation
- Lead the transition from manual testing to automation
- Define and implement an automation strategy and change management approach
- Identify automation opportunities and select fit-for-purpose tools and frameworks
- Build strong stakeholder alignment and support for quality transformation
Skills & Experience
- Proven QA leadership with a strong quality-first mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong knowledge of Git, Gitflow, and CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions)
- Experience with modern testing tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Pact, Postman, BrowserStack)
- Experience across API, UI, mobile and automation frameworks
- Deep understanding of testing methodologies and the testing pyramid (unit → E2E)
- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks
- Agile, adaptable, and proactive in fast-changing environments
- Passion for coaching, continuous improvement, and helping others succeed
