We are seeking for an Operations Delivery Manager to join our Business Operations team at Nuvei. The Operations Delivery Manager will report to the VP Delivery Operations. This role requires someone who will manage the delivery and/or migrations of products, services, and projects within the Business Operations group, collaborate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives, create project plans and adhere to deadlines established. This role requires a highly motivated, skilled Operations Delivery Manager with proven experience managing projects from initial concept to launch.
Strong organizational skills are crucial for effective project management in a business operations setting.
The Operations Delivery Manager will partner with project team members to assign tasks, direct activities, and control project execution. Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the project's success. The Operations Delivery Manager will also track and report progress (management information system); develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations; and communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be the main driver behind the execution of multiple complex clients’ projects.
- Develop and execute project plans for migration initiatives within the business operations team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
- Serve as a liaison between the technical team and other business units, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in payment processing technology.
- Provide operational guidance to the team and contribute to continuously improving the group's performance.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the business's best interest.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of, and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Project Administration: Knowledge of, and ability to use, organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
- Delivery Management: Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources, to achieve project objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field; Project Management certification is a plus.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a client-facing project management role or in a similar position required, specifically within the payments or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with Project Management tools (like MS Project, Microsoft planner and Office timeline, Smartsheet, Monday, Jira or similar) and Gantt chart.
- Proven experience in the payment processing or financial technology sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.
- Proactive and can-do attitude, with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
- A desire to progress and develop yourself personally and professionally.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
