Oura is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel, Senior Director of Intellectual Property to serve as the senior operational and people leader for the IP function, partnering closely with the Deputy General Counsel, SVP of IP, Risk & Compliance. This is a rare opportunity to play a senior leadership role in IP at a company where intellectual property is deeply valued, actively leveraged, and thoughtfully integrated into business strategy. The role offers significant ownership, visibility, and influence, along with the opportunity to help shape how innovation is protected and advanced as Oura continues to grow.
In this role, you will lead execution of Ouraโs IP strategy, translate strategic priorities into scalable programs, and manage day-to-day oversight of the companyโs global IP portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring excellence across patent, trademark, copyright, litigation, enforcement, and innovation enablement, while providing clear, practical counsel to technical and business teams.
This role is ideal for a senior IP leader who enjoys combining hands-on legal judgment with team leadership, and who thrives in close partnership with executive leadership. The AGC, Senior Director will manage and develop a global IP team, including the Senior IP Manager (Finland) and Senior IP & Marketing Counsel (U.S.), and will work cross-functionally with engineering, science, product, and marketing teams.

What we offer:
Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
