They pride themselves on accuracy, reliability, and a collaborative work environment. They are now seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job Description:
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our clients' financial records and ensuring accuracy in all transactions across multiple Entities. You will be responsible for a range of bookkeeping duties, including but not limited to the responsibilities outlined below. All entities use the Xero Accounting platform. This will be a work-from-home role, offering lifestyle flexibility for the right person.
Key Responsibilities: General Bookkeeping – Multiple Entities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Quarterly Activity Statements
- TPAR reporting
- EOFY Accruals
- Prepare and update cashflow forecasts
- Create and maintain Custom Reports in Xero
- Ability to identify, develop and maintain efficient systems and processes for best practice
- Handle tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Understanding and calculation of the Margin Scheme as it relates to Property Development
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience as an Accountant / Bookkeeper in a similar role.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel at an intermediate level.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Nice to have:
- Cert IV Finance (Accounting) or equivalent relevant experience.
- BAS Agent Registration would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience working in an Australian Accounting or Book keeping firm.
