Operational Data Management
- Manage customer master data lifecycle, ensuring compliance with global standards and local requirements.
- Support adoption of golden rules validation techniques
- Conduct periodic data reviews and updates to maintain high-quality, compliant data records
- Execute quality checks and provide meaningful reporting to drive increase in quality
- Supports and executes user acceptance testing for different system integrations
- Support clean up activities across systems and geographies
- Support creation of master data definitions (metadata) and ensures adoption of common understanding
Compliance & Control
- Ensure master data is compliant with GDPR, SOX, and internal data protection standards.
- Ensure transactional teams have complete approval evidence and audit trails for data creation and changes.
- Support internal audits, risk assessments, and remediation of identified issues.
- Collaborate with GPOs to validate KYC, sanctions, credit limits and any other dimensions of the master data
Governance & Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Procurement, Legal, Finance (Retained, GPO and SSCs), Credit, and IT (FIS and I,T & D) to ensure alignment and consistency across master data processes.
- Participate in global data governance forums and contribute to policy refinement and adoption
- Support ERP/CRM integrations to ensure customer master data consistency across platforms
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate data validation, approval workflows and quality checks
- Support system enhancement testing and process optimization projects.
- Track and report data quality KPIs and process efficiency metrics.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Conduct workshops for Finance streams on data accuracy, privacy, and governance.
- Maintain and update documentation of master data procedures and standards.
- Provide coaching and guidance to new MDM team members and regional users.
- Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) for master data compliance and GDPR-related topics.
Required
- 3–5 years of experience in Master Data Management or Finance processes.
- Strong understanding of Finance master data and x-process dependencies.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and financial controls.
- Strong documentation and process management discipline.
- Familiarity with MDM tools and best practices.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and automation.
- Readiness for business travel (up to 20%).
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Workday).
- Proficiency in MDM tools (SAP MDG, Informatica, Reltio, etc.).
- Knowledge of master data governance for Finance (suppliers, customers, CoA, reporting segments, inventory).
- Ability to work in European or African time zones.
