We’re seeking a strategic and creative UX Copy Lead to define and drive our product voice across all digital experiences. In this role, you’ll lead UX writing efforts and craft copy that enhances usability, drives clarity, and deepens user engagement. You will shape how we communicate with users in ways that are clear, helpful, and human. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to deliver intuitive, human-centered experiences.
Who you are
The UX Copy Lead will bring our brand voice to life across TEGNA’s entire digital ecosystem. You’re a strategic thinker who sees content as a key part of the design process—not just words that fill in blanks. You can shift between cross-channel systems thinking and interactive content design with ease. You write like a real human talks, and believe in being clear over clever—but you’re capable of both. You’re comfortable pushing back or questioning assumptions when it means advocating for the user. You enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, and know how to build strong relationships with designers, PMs, and developers. You care deeply about inclusion, accessibility, and plain language. You’re always looking to learn, improve, and experiment—whether it’s with tone, UX patterns, or tools.
