Electrical Draftsperson (AutoCad Electrical) - Work From Home / Dayshift

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Draftsperson / Electrical CAD Technician to support the preparation and management of low-voltage electrical drawings for switchboards and control systems. This role involves producing high-quality electrical schematics, layouts, and as-built documentation using AutoCAD Electrical, while ensuring full compliance with Australian and New Zealand standards. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, project, and manufacturing teams to deliver accurate, “Right First Time” drawings and contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance across projects.

• Prepare detailed single-line diagrams, wiring layouts, and electrical schematics based on engineering inputs and site redlines.
• Develop and maintain electrical drawings for low-voltage systems (Main switchboards , Motor Control Centres (MCCs), Distribution boards, Control panels)
• Produce control panel layouts and accurate as-built documentation in line with engineering specifications and company standards.
• Ensure all drawings comply with Australian and New Zealand electrical standards, wiring rules, and internal QA procedures.
• Participate in engineering process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support quality assurance by ensuring documentation accuracy and consistency across all projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical is required.
• Strong background in electrical drafting and detailing, including: Single-line diagrams, Wiring schematics, Control panel layouts
• Experience working with commercial or industrial electrical systems, including switchboards and automation/control environments.
• Sound understanding of relevant Australian and New Zealand electrical wiring rules and drawing standards.
• Culturally aligned with a supportive, open, and continuous improvement–focused team environment.
• Demonstrated professional experience using AutoCAD Electrical is essential.
