The Role

Role & Responsibilities

• Own and drive the overall solution architecture for Oracle Xstore POS and its ecosystem (Xadmin, Xcenter, Xservices, Xenvironment, Xmobile, Tablet).
• Define end-to-end architecture for store systems, including integrations with ERP, CRM, loyalty, payment gateways, and e-commerce platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
• Guide and review design decisions, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability of solutions.
• Conduct POCs (Proof of Concepts) and evaluate new technologies for retail innovation.
• Lead localization and customization strategies to meet market-specific requirements.
• Define data models, integration frameworks, and deployment strategies for Xstore solutions.
• Support pre-sales teams by contributing to RFP responses, solutioning, and customer workshops.
• Mentor project teams, including developers, BAs, and project managers, to ensure architectural alignment.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insights into retail transformation initiatives.

Must have

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is typically required.
• 10–15 years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years as a Solution Architect in retail domain projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Xstore POS and related Oracle Retail solutions.
• Proven expertise in solution design, integration architecture, and system scalability.
• Experience in large-scale global POS implementations and rollouts.
• Deep understanding of store operations, retail workflows, and omnichannel processes.
• Strong technical knowledge in Java, middleware, APIs, databases, and cloud integration patterns.
• Ability to balance technical depth with business acumen when advising stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
