GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Senior QA Automation Engineer, the Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for executing and improving testing efforts across assigned areas of the platform. This role builds on foundational QA experience by taking on increased ownership, contributing to test planning, and supporting higher-quality releases through thoughtful test execution and collaboration.
The QA Analyst II works closely with Engineering, Product, and other cross-functional partners to ensure features are tested thoroughly, defects are clearly communicated, and testing processes continue to mature as the organization scales.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute manual test cases and scenarios to validate functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Run and analyze automated tests, and communicate results
- Assist with test planning for releases by identifying risks and coverage needs.
- Participate throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, staying aligned with engineering priorities.
- Maintain assigned test cases in the test management system and ensure coverage stays current.
- Reproduce, document, and prioritize defects, escalating issues based on severity and impact.
- Execute existing automated tests and review results to identify failures and regressions.
- Support testing of workflows that involve backend systems such as ERP, inventory, or fulfillment tools.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations to resolve testing issues and improve release readiness.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and suggest improvements to testing processes.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, including manual testing and defect tracking.
- Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and release processes.
- Experience using defect tracking and test case management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Qase).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly document test results and defects.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic command-line usage.
- Experience executing API tests using tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
- Basic familiarity with databases and SQL to support test validation (with guidance as needed).
- Ability to execute existing automated test scripts and interpret results.
- Experience or exposure testing systems that integrate with ERP, inventory, or fulfillment platforms.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently in a remote, team environment. Proven ability to self-educate.

NICE TO HAVES
- Experience testing or supporting ERP software such as NetSuite, SAP, Fishbowl, or similar/home grown platforms.
- Familiarity with inventory, order management, or fulfillment workflows in an eCommerce or logistics environment.
- Some exposure to frontend or API automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress).
- Basic experience with CI/CD pipelines and understanding where automated tests fit into deployments.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
